Alright So it Finally happened! I am engaged and I couldn't be happier! I have had this GIANT perma-smile on my face for the last 12 hours! So I know a lot of people were wondering how it happened so here it goes...
I live in Ephraim and Jordan lives here in Sandy, so for the past four months I go home just about every weekend. Well here came the weekend and I had devised this plan where I told Jordan wasn't going to come home until Saturday in reality I was coming home on Friday to surprise him. Well as I was on my way home Jord has sent me this text saying, "I wan't to get a chocolate donut, and go swing on our swings." Well let me rewind a couple years before I continue. This is not the first time Jordan and I have dated. We dated and spent TONS of time with each other for a couple months and a half before his mission. On the day Jordan received his call we decided to celebrate with a chocolate donut for 711. This became a weekly tradition that we would buy a chocolate donut take it to bear park and enjoy our donuts while swinging on the swings. So now back to the present. After Jordan sent me this text I quickly replied (don't worry I wasn't driving.) "We can". Jordan being pretty confused told me that we couldn't because I wasn't home. I then told him I would be home in about 45 minutes. This resulted in a phone call from a very excited Jordan. He then told me that he was running errands and had to go to SLCC to pick up his book for one of his classes. I patiently waited at home until he was done with getting his books. When Jordan got to my house, he was abnormally excited to go get our donut, we had to go "NOW,NOW ,NOW!!!!!". We got in the car and headed down the road to our favorite 711. Jordan told me I had to pick the best looking donut, so I did. We then drove to our park, once we were there we headed straight to our swings. We had just barely finished our donuts and had only been swinging for about ten minutes when Jordan said, "I am getting cold, are you ready to go?" I thought that was kind of weird because I wasn't even cold. So we got off our swings and Jord pulled me aside and said, "Do you remember when we walked through the park with a blanket on?"..... I had no idea what the kid was talking about, we had been to this park so many times I couldn't figure it out..so being the smart clever girl that I am, I just shook my head, smiled and said. "yeah.." Then Jord added a follow up question.. he said, "Katherine Marie, do you remember that time when we said we couldn't see ourselves with anyone else forever?" and before i could even say yes to that question, the love of my life was down on one knee, he took my hand and said, "Katherine Marie, Will you marry me?" I was so excited i didn't even say yes.. I just said "EICK!!!!!" (thats a girl squeal of excitement) then i slapped that ring on my finger so fast, took Jordan by the face and kissed the crap out of him :) It was a wonderful event. Our dear friend Michelle was standing by taking pictures! What a great day :)
